Job summary

MLT Systems seeks an Information Assurance Support to defend DoD environments by assessing cybersecurity compliance, conducting vulnerability assessments, and advising on risk remediation across systems. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years of IA experience, with a security clearance.

You will review A&A artifacts, support ACAS scans, DISA STIGs, and CVI, and contribute to system authorization, continuous monitoring, and secure development practices within a DoD context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• 3–6 years of experience in Information Assurance or cybersecurity.
• Security clearance is required for this role.
• Strong familiarity with DoD RMF and DoDI 8510.01.
• Knowledge of DoDI 5000.02 and Adaptive Acquisition Framework is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

General requirements are as follows:

• Analyze and evaluate cybersecurity compliance, conducting vulnerability assessments and providing risk and remediation recommendations to ensure system security within Department of Defense (DoD) environments
• Evaluate system security categorization and selection
• Oversee and advise on implementation of security controls, security control assessments, system authorization, and continuous monitoring activities
• Provide security recommendations based on emerging threats and vulnerability trends
• Draft, staff, and submit formal deliverables for Government review

Specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Review and analyze program specific artifacts of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process, not limited to System Security Categorization, Select Security Controls, Implement Security Controls, Assess Security Controls, Authorize System, and Continuous Monitoring
• Review and analyze Cybersecurity Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) activities, to include Cooperative Vulnerability Identification (CVI) and Adversarial Cybersecurity DT&E (ACD)
• Implement and analyze Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans, Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Source Code Review scans; and prioritize remediation activities based on identified vulnerabilities
• Review and analyze new Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), Operational Directions located on the Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR), and DISA STIGs

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 3-6 Years of Experience

Specific/Preferred Requirements:

• Security Clearance required
• Strong familiarity with:
  • DoD Instruction (DoDI) 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology
  • DoDI 5000.02, Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, Enclosure 14

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear, and to use hands and arms for routine work tasks. The employee may occasionally lift or move items up to 30 pounds. Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
