Job summary

MLT Systems is seeking a cybersecurity professional to analyze and evaluate DoD cybersecurity compliance, conduct vulnerability assessments, and provide risk and remediation recommendations to maintain secure systems in DoD environments.

Responsibilities include reviewing security categorization, advising on control implementation, and supporting system authorization and continuous monitoring activities, with a focus on emerging threats and remediation prioritization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 3–6 years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in DoD environments.
• Experience with DoD RMF/DI 8510.01 and accreditation processes.

Job description

Responsibilities

General requirements are as follows:

• Analyze and evaluate cybersecurity compliance, conducting vulnerability assessments and providing risk and remediation recommendations to ensure system security within Department of Defense (DoD) environments
• Evaluate system security categorization and selection
• Oversee and advise on implementation of security controls, security control assessments, system authorization, and continuous monitoring activities
• Provide security recommendations based on emerging threats and vulnerability trends
• Draft, staff, and submit formal deliverables for Government review

Specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Review and analyze program specific artifacts of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process, not limited to System Security Categorization, Select Security Controls, Implement Security Controls, Assess Security Controls, Authorize System, and Continuous Monitoring
• Review and analyze Cybersecurity Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) activities, to include Cooperative Vulnerability Identification (CVI) and Adversarial Cybersecurity DT&E (ACD)
• Implement and analyze Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans, Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Source Code Review scans; and prioritize remediation activities based on identified vulnerabilities
• Review and analyze new Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), Operational Directions located on the Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR), and DISA STIGs

Education/Experience

• Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field
• 3-6 Years of Experience

Specific/Preferred Requirements

• Security Clearance required
• Strong familiarity with:
• DoD Instruction (DoDI) 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology
• DoDI 5000.02, Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, Enclosure 14

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear, and to use hands and arms for routine work tasks. The employee may occasionally lift or move items up to 30 pounds. Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
