SKIL Resource Center in Parsons, KS is seeking an Information and Referral Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for customers requesting services. The role involves coordinating with IL Advocates and program leadership to ensure needs are addressed and documented, and to maintain accurate I&R records.

You will assist individuals in overcoming barriers and support referrals while engaging with community partners to enhance service delivery and reporting.

Formación

• At least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid Driver's License.
• Be familiar with Independent Living philosophy.
• Clear background checks.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the Courtesy Cabinet with food and hygiene donations.
• Support IL Advocates with Information and Referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with local community organizations to better serve customers.
• Work with the IL Program Manager and IL/QA Director to compile information for Center reports.
• Maintain a current and accurate customer database of I&Rs.
• Assist IL/QA Director with new data tracking processes for IL Advocate reports.

Information and Referral Specialist

Located in Parsons KS SKIL Office

Summary

Serve as the point of contact for customers initially requesting SKIL services. Work with IL Advocates, the IL Program Manager and IL/QA Director to assure that all aspects of customers’ needs and care are addressed and documented. Collecting, completing and maintaining documentation and information is essential in the Information & Referral Specialist’s daily duties.

Essential Job Functions

1. Point of contact of new customers requesting services either on the phone, in person or by email.
2. Assist individuals accessing the agency in overcoming existing barriers that prevent individuals from receiving assistance needed with available community resources.
3. Maintain Courtesy Cabinet with food and hygiene donations in order to assist customers accessing the agency with the needed items available.
4. Support IL Advocates with Information and Referrals (I&Rs) as needed.
5. Collaborate with local community organizations to better serve customers.
6. Work with the IL Program Manager and IL/QA Director to compile information for all Center reports.
7. Maintain a current and accurate customer database of I&Rs.
8. Assist IL/QA Director with new processes in data tracking regarding IL Advocate reports.
