Job summary

Skil-Resource-Center in Parsons, KS seeks an Information and Referral Specialist to serve as the initial point of contact for customers requesting SKIL services. You will work with IL Advocates, the IL Program Manager and IL/QA Director to ensure needs are documented and addressed.

Responsibilities include maintaining a customer database, assisting with I&Rs, and collaborating with local organizations to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Have a valid Driver's License
• Be familiar with Independent Living philosophy
• Clear background checks

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals accessing the agency in overcoming existing barriers that prevent individuals from receiving assistance needed with available community resources.
• Maintain Courtesy Cabinet with food and hygiene donations in order to assist customers accessing the agency with the needed items available.
• Support IL Advocates with Information and Referrals (I&Rs) as needed.
• Collaborate with local community organizations to better serve customers.
• Work with the IL Program Manager and IL/QA Director to compile information for all Center reports.
• Maintain a current and accurate customer database of I&Rs.
• Assist IL/QA Director with new processes in data tracking regarding IL Advocate reports.]

Information and Referral Specialist

Located in Parsons KS SKIL Office

Summary

Serve as the point of contact for customers initially requesting SKIL services. Work with IL Advocates, the IL Program Manager and IL/QA Director to assure that all aspects of customers’ needs and care are addressed and documented. Collecting, completing and maintaining documentation and information is essential in the Information & Referral Specialist’s daily duties.
