Job description

Position Summary

The Informaticist, RN is a key member of the Digital Health Informatics team at the Valley Health System. They are involved in end-user adoption of healthcare technology and report to the Manager of Digital Health Informatics. The role involves working closely with Nurses, Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and Information Systems staff to support quality of care, safety initiatives, and clinical efficiencies through optimal use of technology.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Education

A Registered Professional Nurse, licensed in New Jersey, with a BSN. Certification or a Master’s Degree in an Informatics-related field is strongly preferred.

Experience

Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience. Informatics-related work experience is preferred.

Hiring for multiple positions with specific experience requirements:

• Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
• Peri-Operative experience/background strongly preferred
• Oncology and teaching/training experience strongly preferred

Skills

Experience in Meditech and Athena as an end-user is highly preferred. Experience in design, build, and implementation of these systems is an asset.
