Job summary

SCOR in North Carolina seeks an actuarial professional to validate, calibrate, and project experience used to optimize inforce treaties. You will support the Inforce Management VP with analyses, pricing reviews, and model updates within a collaborative department.

Requirements include 3–5 years of life insurance actuarial experience, a math/actuarial degree, and ASA/FSA-aspirant status. Hybrid work, relocation assistance in the U.S., and strong communication skills are offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent in mathematics or actuarial science or related field
• ASA/FSA designation preferred; ASA level encouraged to participate in Actuarial Student Program
• 3–5 years of life insurance actuarial experience (reinsurance experience a plus)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in MS Office, SQL, VBA; experience with actuarial software

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial support for actions to optimize inforce treaties
• Review treaty terms, assumptions, and pricing files
• Perform premium validations to ensure correct premiums
• Update models that inform inforce analytics
• Communicate project progress and next steps
• Identify and report actuarial risks for dashboards
• Analyze courses of action on underperforming business
• Assist team with ad hoc requests
• Participate in Actuarial Student Rotation program
• Other duties as required
