Job summary

The University of Oregon InfoGraphics Lab seeks to establish a pool of qualified candidates for Pro Tem Research Assistant/Research Associate and Postdoctoral Scholar roles. Applicants should hold degrees in spatial or design fields, with experience in geospatial technologies, design software, and programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in spatial or design field
• Two years' professional experience with geospatial and/or design technologies
• Master's degree in spatial or design field (for higher-level roles)
• Ph.D in spatial, design, or related field (for Research Associate or Postdoctoral Scholar)
• Strong background in design, cartography, and data visualization
• Ability to work creatively in a collaborative environment
• Experience with Esri ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, R, Python

Responsibilities

• Pro Tem Researchers contribute to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of cartography, data visualization, and spatial analysis.
• Develop scholarly and public-facing visualizations
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students across multiple disciplines
