Job summary

The California Department of Justice seeks an Information Technology Specialist I to analyze, design, develop, and implement complex software systems for the Bureau of Firearms. You will lead in building scalable databases and ensure robust operation across internal and external facing applications.

You will work under the unit supervisor in a fast-paced environment, participate in the full project life cycle from kickoff through requirements analysis, design, implementation and ongoing

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and implement the most complex software systems for the BOF program.
• Lead in the development of application functionality and the design and maintenance of multiple highly scalable, fault tolerant databases for business critical, internal and external facing applications.
• Provide on-going monitoring, support and performance tuning of the BOF software systems and database.
