Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Department Operations Manager for the College of Communication, Media, Design and Information (CMDI). This role serves as the primary contact for financial, personnel and administrative matters for the Department of Information Science (INFO) and leads department staff in day-to-day operations.

The manager works with the Department Chair on budgeting, planning and forecasting, and provides expertise on faculty affairs, lab space management, travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of office administration management experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience with university or large organization administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary point of contact for administrative matters for the department.
• Coordinates management of two office and lab spaces and calendars.
• Assists with travel arrangements and conference registrations.
• Assists with filing reimbursements, purchasing via Marketplace, and documentation.
• Supports faculty affairs and budgeting decisions to forecast department needs.
