Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for the Manager of Finance and Operations in the Department of Cinema Studies & Moving Image Arts (CINE). The role reports to the Chair and oversees budget, finance, HR, and administrative functions to support faculty, staff and student employees.

Responsibilities include budget planning, oversight of general, auxiliary, grant, and gift accounts, payroll questions, start-up funds, and staffing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with budget/HR experience.
• Experience with payroll, start-up funds, and research accounts.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Supervisory experience with staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee faculty personnel management, including recruitment, promotion, tenure processes.
• Coordinate faculty appointments, reappointments and reallocation of duties.
• Supervise the Undergraduate Program Coordinator and ensure operational needs are met.
• Oversee financial operations across general, auxiliary, grant, and gift accounts.
• Prepare and monitor budgets; provide ad hoc reports.
• Liaise with HR, Payroll, and College/University offices for compliance.
