Job summary

Socket.dev in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking an Information Assurance Hardware Design Engineer to design and test integrated circuits and hardware components for signal processing and related applications. The role includes firmware development for ASIC/FPGA devices and documenting the design process.

The position supports Levels 1–4 with responsibilities ranging from product design, design verification, and leadership of other engineers, to security verification testing to meet government IA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Level 1 requires 1 year of HDE experience; higher levels require more experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products
• Communicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion
• Conduct design analysis on components and assemblies to ensure designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable
• Apply ASIC or FPGA place and route tools to create physical implementations
• Develop and maintain documentation for P&R design flows
• Design new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products
• Lead the designs of new products and processes and improve and maintain existing products
• Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers
• Perform Security Verification Testing and Certification to meet Type I Information Assurance Certification standards
