Job summary
Mayo Clinic in Phoenix is seeking a Clinical Specialist Pharmacist in Infectious Diseases and OPAT to deliver expert antimicrobial therapy across ambulatory care settings.
You will develop OPAT services, collaborate with physicians, nurses, microbiology, and care teams, and support antimicrobial stewardship while advancing patient care. AZ license and board certification in an infectious diseases-related area are expected.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an ACPE-accredited Pharmacy program.
- PGY2 residency in a specialty area with board certification, or PGY1 with 2+ years in specialty practice and board certification.
- If no residency, 4+ years of licensure with 50% time in specialty practice and board certification.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, Federal and state regulations governing pharmacist practices.
- Preferred: experience in Infectious Diseases or related specialties.
- AZ State Board of Pharmacy license; BCIDP or BCACP preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert antimicrobial therapy services across ambulatory Infectious Diseases practices.
- Develop, implement, and support standardized OPAT service and medication management.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, microbiology, and care teams to optimize outcomes.
- Participate in antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and education initiatives.
