Job summary

Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, GA is seeking a skilled Infectious Disease (ID) Physician to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will hold an MD or DO, completed Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Disease fellowship, and be board eligible or certified.

A Georgia medical license or eligibility and DEA registration are required. This PRN role offers flexible shifts and consult coverage based on hospital demand, with potential weekday, weekend, or holiday availability.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Disease.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.
• Current Georgia medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Current DEA registration.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prior hospital-based infectious disease experience preferred but not required.
