Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease physician, board certified or board eligible, to join our team. The physician will diagnose and manage a wide range of infections across inpatient and outpatient settings with focus on antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention collaboration.

The role supports a comprehensive benefits package and multi-campus coverage, with remote coverage for North Georgia and Hixson, TN campuses, enhancing care

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certified/board eligible in Infectious Diseases.
• Ability to obtain Tennessee & Georgia medical licenses and DEA.
• AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic, and mycobacterial infections.
• Develop and implement individualized antimicrobial therapy plans.
• Provide expert consultations to other specialties on infectious disease management.
• Manage immunocompromised patients, including those with HIV/AIDS or transplant recipients.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests (cultures, serologies, molecular tests).
• Provide coverage at the Chattanooga campus with remote coverage for North Georgia and Hixson, TN campuses.
