Job summary

Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, GA is seeking an Infectious Disease physician on a PRN basis to provide expert consultation and management for hospitalized patients and, when needed, support outpatient follow-up.

This role offers flexible PRN shifts with potential weekday, weekend, or holiday coverage. Board-certified/board-eligible in ID, GA license, and DEA registration are preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Disease.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.
• Current Georgia medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Current DEA registration.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prior hospital-based infectious disease experience preferred but not required.

The physician will provide expert consultation and management of infectious diseases for hospitalized patients and, when needed, support outpatient follow-up.
