Job summary

Advantage Health in Detroit seeks an Infectious Disease specialist to provide outpatient medical services within a community health center. You will diagnose and treat adults with various infectious diseases, perform exams, and coordinate care with the health team.

The role requires ABIM fellowship in Infectious Disease, MD or DO, Michigan licensure, and active BLS. You will supervise APPs/PA's and participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Medical Staff department.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from AMA-accredited program; FCFMG if foreign-trained.
• Completed Infectious Disease fellowship and ABIM certification.
• Michigan medical licensure; DEA registration and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient diagnosis and treatment of adults with infectious diseases.
• Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests when indicated.
• Document observations and collaborate with health team for outcomes.
• Work with other specialties and communicate via EHR.
• Ensure compliance with AH directives and maintain BLS.
• Supervise APPs/physician assistants and other staff as appropriate.
• Engage in quality of care activities and attend meetings.
