Job summary

BMS Family Health Center in New York seeks a physician specialized in HIV and infectious diseases. You will diagnose, treat, and manage patients, develop evidence-based antiviral plans, and monitor progress, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across clinics and community health settings.

This role emphasizes HIV prevention, hepatitis care, and adherence support, with opportunities for clinical research and program development within a FQHC environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted medical New York State license.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Infectious Disease.
• AAHIVM HIV Specialist credentials.
• DEA registration and controlled substance certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and co-infections.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing current evidence-based antiviral therapies and clinical guidelines.
• Monitor patient progress, viral suppression, liver function, medication adherence, and treatment response.
• Identify and manage opportunistic infections, liver disease complications, and co-morbid conditions.
• Provide interventional care strategies for high-risk patients and complex infectious disease cases.
• Conduct comprehensive infectious disease and risk assessments.
