Job summary

Global Medical Staffing is seeking physicians to provide locum tenens coverage in California. The role uses a rotating 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule, weekdays 8 am–6 pm, for General ID with 10–15 patients daily and 5–10 consults.

Optional weekend coverage includes 24‑hour call with ~5 hours of rounding on Sat/Sun. The position features transplant cases on weekends, inpatient weekend coverage across two hospitals, and optional hospice work plus a high ICU/pediatric case load.

• Hospital privileges required.

Responsibilities

• Rotating 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule.
• General ID service: 10–15 patients per day with 5–10 consults.
• Optional weekend coverage: 24hr call with ~5hrs rounding Saturday & Sunday.
• Transplant service: 10–12 patients – weekend coverage only.
• Inpatient setting – coverage across two hospital locations on weekends.
• Optional outpatient hospice – 5–6 sessions per week (4–5 hrs each).
• High volume of ICU and autoimmune pediatric cases.
