Job description

UT Health East Texas is seeking a skilled Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its established practice in Tyler, TX.

The ideal candidate will have an interest or experience in Infectious Disease and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices, education, and innovative care strategies.

New graduates will be considered.

Preferred credentials: AANP or ANCC

Required: BLS Certification

About Your Work:

• Join a team of 4 physicians and 4 NPs
• Work in outpatient and inpatient settings at UT Health Tyler, a 502-bed Level I Trauma Center with an “A” Safety Rating from Leapfrog Group (Fall 2024)
• Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
• Shared Call Model
• Epic EMR
• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care for patients with bacterial, fungal, and viral infections, developing evidence-based treatment plans with infectious disease physicians, and educating patients and families on disease prevention and treatments.
