Job description

UT Health East Texas is seeking a skilled Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its established practice in Tyler, TX.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or experience in Infectious Disease and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices, education, and innovative care strategies.

New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred credentials: AANP or ANCC certification.

Required: BLS Certification.

Work Details:

• Join a team of 4 physicians and 4 NPs.
• Work in both outpatient and inpatient settings at UT Health Tyler, a 502-bed Level I Trauma Center with an “A” Safety Rating from Leapfrog Group (Fall 2024).
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
• Shared Call Model.
• Epic EMR system.
• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care for patients with bacterial, fungal, and viral infections, developing evidence-based treatment plans with infectious disease physicians, and patient education on disease prevention and treatments.
