Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve complex therapeutic problems for specific patient populations.
• Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, patients and families.
• Monitor therapy and adverse effects; report ADRs and errors.
• Direct students and residents and evaluate their performance.
• Influence therapy standards and act as a drug authority.
• Develop treatment guidelines and document in patient records.
• Interpret orders for accuracy and participate in education programs.
