Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced APP for the Infectious Disease team in Kenilworth, NC. This 100% adult medicine role is hybrid, with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, and no regular night calls.

Inpatient and outpatient duties are included, supported by a team of physicians, APPs, RNs, CMAs, and additional staff. Applicants must have at least 3 years of APP experience, be a licensed or eligible NC practitioner (PA with NCCPA or ACNP/NP with appropriate credentials).

Qualifications

• 3 years APP experience required.
• Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for licensure.
• PA must have NCCPA certification; ACNP/NP must hold relevant licensure and board certifications.
• New grads will not be considered at this time.

Responsibilities

• 100% adult medicine; hybrid position.
• Clinic schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities included.
• No night call; Saturday/Sunday infusion as needed.
• Collaborate with a team of physicians, APPs, RNs, CMAs, and support staff.

Job Details:

• 100% Adult medicine; Hybrid position

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM clinic schedule

• Weekday hours only

• No night call required (Saturday/Sunday only as needed for infusion)

• Setting includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities

• Practice model includes 19 physicians, 3 APPs, 7 RNs, 4 CMAs, 6 Ryan White support staff, and 5 clerical staff

Who You Are:

• Experienced APP with at least 3 years of experience required

• Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited program with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. Must hold a valid RN license with acute care board certification, and certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body

• Must hold or be eligible for licensure in North Carolina

• New grads will not be considered at this time
