Job summary

Atrium Health in Kenilworth, North Carolina, invites experienced Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to join the Infectious Disease Team. The role is 100% adult medicine with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, and a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm hybrid schedule.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of APP/NP experience, North Carolina licensure eligibility, and NCCPA certification (PA) or an ACNP with MSN/DNP. New grads are not considered at this time.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of APP or NP experience required.
• PA: graduate from an accredited program with NCCPA certification.
• ACNP: Master’s or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
• Must hold or be eligible for North Carolina licensure.
• New grads will not be considered at this time.

Responsibilities

• 100% adult medicine with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
• Clinic schedule Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; hybrid position.
• No night call required; infusion coverage as needed on weekends.

Job Details

• 100% Adult medicine; Hybrid position
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM clinic schedule
• Weekday hours only
• No night call required (Saturday/Sunday only as needed for infusion)
• Setting includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Practice model includes 19 physicians, 3 APPs, 7 RNs, 4 CMAs, 6 Ryan White support staff, and 5 clerical staff

Who You Are

• Experienced APP with at least 3 years of experience required
• Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited program with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. Must hold a valid RN license with acute care board certification, and certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body
• Must hold or be eligible for licensure in North Carolina
• New grads will not be considered at this time
