Job summary

KOPA, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat residents in a newly remodeled Avante at St. Cloud facility. You will act as both clinician and educator, supporting disease prevention and high-quality patient care in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include exams, ordering tests, diagnosis, treatment planning, prescribing medications, and mentoring a NP team. Collaborative care and ongoing professional development are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Experience in primary, acute and chronic care.
• Knowledge of health care regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development.
• Patience and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and their medical records.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Educate patients and their families on diseases, epidemics, and prevention.
• Oversee patient health and promote prevention.
• Lead and mentor NP team; participate in onboarding and training.
• Support development of workflows and best practices.
• Provide coverage at other Florida facilities when needed.
