Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Boise Infectious Disease clinic. The MA will support a physician team including three physicians, locums staff and a dedicated RN, handling wound care, injections, immunizations, med refills, triage and minor procedures.

You will work in a fast-paced outpatient setting with high-acuity patients, requiring strong critical thinking, multitasking and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; MA certification within 90 days of hire.
• MA certificate of completion from an accredited program or school.
• Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 year MA experience OR MA certification OR obtain/renew certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Support Infectious Disease outpatient clinic team with Physicians, Locums staff, RN and other MAs.
• Perform wound care, injections, immunizations, med refills, patient calls and triage, and assist with minor procedures and assessments.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, urgency, multitasking, teamwork and patient communication.
