Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID seeks an Infectious Disease physician to join the established ID department on the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center campus. This role includes a dual opportunity to contribute to Inpatient Infection Control as Medical Director and to build the Infectious Disease and Infection Prevention programs on the Boise campus.

MD/DO required with fellowship in Infectious Disease and board certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease or within 3

Qualifications

• MD or DO required with residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Disease.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease (or within 3 years of employment) is preferred or required.
• Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all phases and valid controlled substance registration.

Responsibilities

• Direct involvement in managing OPAT patients and follow-up evaluations for Infectious Disease management.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing and labs; prescribe treatment and provide patient education.
• Chairs Infection Prevention Committee and oversees surveillance for healthcare-associated infections.
