Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking an Infection Preventionist in Denison, Texas, to lead infection control activities and oversee the prevention of infectious disease transmission across patients, staff, visitors, and the community.

You will report to the Director of Nursing and collaborate with the IDT and Medical Director to implement sound infection prevention principles and practices facility-wide.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing School and a current RN/LVN/LPN license in TX.
• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience in a long-term or health care setting preferred.
• Must complete Infection Preventionist Course and obtain certification.
• Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
• Ability to effectively present information to department heads, patients, families, physicians, and the public.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to adhere to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review daily documentation for accuracy and intervention.
• Track and trend infection data and outcomes.
• Educate staff on infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Review medical records for timely assessments and interventions.
• Coordinate with HR for training and immunization programs.
