Job summary

Harborview-Health-System is seeking an RN/LPN Infection Preventionist in Sandy Springs, GA. This role focuses on infection prevention, immunizations, antibiotic use monitoring, and bowel/bladder program oversight within a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN or LPN license in Georgia, has infection control experience, and may have LTC RN/LPN background. Completion of the Infection Preventionist course within 3 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Active RN/LPN license in good standing in the state of practice (Georgia).
• Infection control experience required.
• Prior LTC RN/LPN experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must complete Infection Preventionist course within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident status and implement nursing interventions to improve outcomes.
• Administer and document resident immunizations.
• Monitor, document and report on antibiotic use.
• Monitor, document and report on bowel and bladder programs.
• Make rounds to ensure compliance with Infection Control standards and policies.
• Participate in Quarterly QAPI meetings.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dedicated RN/LPN Infection Preventionist

What You Will Do

• The Infection Preventionist must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess resident status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement resident care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.


• The Infection Preventionist administers and documents Resident immunizations


• The Infection Preventionist monitors, documents and reports on antibiotic use


• The Infection Preventionist monitors, documents and reports on Bowel & Bladder program


• The Infection Preventionist makes rounds to ensure compliance with Infection Control standards and policies.


• The Infection Preventionist participates in Quarterly QAPI meetings

What You Must Have

• Active RN/LPN license in good standing in the state of practice.


• Formal working knowledge; Infection Control experience Required


• Prior experience as LTC RN/LPN preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Must complete Infection Preventionist course within 3 months of hire
