Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking an Infection Preventionist - RN for Ridgewood in Bedford, NH.

This full-time role (40 hours with on-call) focuses on leading the Nursing Center Infection Prevention and Control Program, guiding staff, and coordinating prevention efforts across locations. The IP will educate staff, implement IPCP improvements, and oversee surveillance, outbreak management, and employee health.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of three years full-time nursing experience is required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support IPCP and staff training across multiple locations focusing on infection prevention, surveillance, outbreak management, and employee health.
• Create and implement education programs in response to identified infection control needs via QAPI, rounding, quality measures, or other means.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain the IPCP to ensure quality of patient care related to infections and communicable diseases.
