Job summary

NHC HealthCare, Charleston, is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to lead infection prevention efforts within the facility. The ideal candidate will manage surveillance, ensure adherence to infection control policies, and collaborate with care teams to minimize infection risks.

Experience in infection control and LTC/SNF settings is preferred. Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential to coordinate activities and educate staff across shifts in a demanding long-term care

Qualifications

• Must have South Carolina RN.
• Must have superior communication skills & be an effective leader.
• Must be flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player.
• Prior experience in Infection Control preferred.
• Prior experience in LTC/ SNF preferred.

Position: RN Infection Preventionist
The ideal Registered Nurse candidate for this position should possess excellent time management, superior organization skills, and be an exceptional communicator. Long-term care experience preferred.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• assisting with surveillance throughout the facility to promote infection prevention,
• ensuring adherence to infection control standards, policies, and procedures, and
• reviewing and monitoring reporting data regarding facility-acquired infections, treatments, and control measures.
