OSF HealthCare seeks an Infection Preventionist to lead infection prevention, control, and education within the facility as part of the Quality & Safety program.

The role partners with facility leadership and care teams to prevent hospital-acquired infections, coordinate prevention initiatives, and ensure regulatory readiness while promoting evidence-based practices and staff education.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical field, public health, or related field
• 5 years of experience in a relevant healthcare or clinical environment
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required within 3 years of hire and maintained thereafter
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented
• Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention principles, surveillance, and regulatory standards
• Ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams

Responsabilidades

• Lead infection prevention, control and education across the entity to support Quality & Safety.
• Identify and report communicable diseases and assist with regulatory readiness across departments.
• Develop and coordinate infection prevention policies, programs and surveillance activities.
