Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking an Infection Preventionist / Employee Health Coordinator to lead the infection control program and employee health operations. You will ensure CMS, TJC, CDC, OSHA compliance and analyze infection data to guide policies and education.

The role involves surveillance of hospital-acquired infections, maintaining health records, and conducting employee wellness programs to support safe patient care and staff well-being.

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary education in a health-related field.
• CPR certification and BLS instructor certification are preferred.
• Experience with OSHA regulations is desirable.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) is preferred.
• 1 year of clinical experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Infection Control Program and employee health coordination.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, TJC, CDC, OSHA and other standards.
• Analyze infection data to identify trends and risk factors.
• Develop policies aligned with infection control guidelines.
• Surveil and report hospital-acquired infections and maintain health records.
• Conduct employee health programs and new hire health processes.
