Job summary

Rehabilitation Center, LLC is seeking an Infection Prevention Coordinator to lead infection control initiatives across the facility. You will develop and implement prevention goals, collaborate with leaders, physicians, and agencies, and oversee epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and safety programs to protect residents and staff.

You will participate in national reports and ensure education for staff during outbreaks and non-compliance events.

Qualifications

• Teamwork across departments and strong ethics are required.
• Extensive nursing and medical procedure knowledge includes regulatory guidelines.
• Leadership and supervisory skills are essential.
• Ability to make independent decisions and respond to infection control concerns.
• Familiarity with infection prevention practices and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plans.
• Collaborate with facility leaders, physicians, and local, state, and national agencies on prevention activities.
• Oversee infection prevention, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and safety programs.
• Participate in national collaboratives and external reporting to CDC NHSN and other quality organizations.
• Ensure intervention and education for staff, volunteers, and medical personnel when breaches or outbreaks occur.
