Job summary

MUSC Health, part of the Medical University of South Carolina system, is seeking an Infection Preventionist to influence patient safety, clinical practice, and quality outcomes across the organization.

You will partner with physicians and clinical teams, educate staff, investigate concerns, and translate surveillance data into actionable improvements for infection control and patient care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field/experience.
• Experience in infection prevention or healthcare data analysis preferred.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prevent healthcare-associated infections and promote patient safety across the organization.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate infection prevention data to guide practice.
• Educate staff and collaborate with physicians and clinical teams on best practices.
• Investigate concerns, identify opportunities for improvement, and support timely guidance.
