ARMStaffing seeks an Infection Preventionist in Sitka, Alaska, for a 13-week contract. This role focuses on surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections, and requires developing policies aligned with IPC standards.

Responsibilities include data collection, education, and collaboration with the Performance Improvement team to improve infection control across SEARHC facilities. A Bachelor's degree and CIC certification are required, with BLS current.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of acute care/infection control experience.
• Experience with data collection and performance improvement/risk management.
• 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience is highly desired.
• CIC certification is required.
• CPHQ is preferred.
• BLS certification must be current.

Responsabilités

• Support the development and implementation of the SEARHC Infection Prevention and Control Plan and Program.
• Write, approve, and implement policies that adhere to IPC program requirements using CDC, OSHA, FDA, TJC, and APIC guidelines.
• Collect, trend, prepare, and maintain infection control data and statistical reports, ensuring timely reporting to NHSN and other agencies.
• Provide infection prevention education and training for SEARHC staff, patients, and communities.
• Conduct research to inform actions on infection prevention and assist in the overall IPC program implementation.
• Participate in committees and work collaboratively with the Performance Improvement team.
