CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks an Infection Prevention Specialist to lead surveillance, education, and performance improvement efforts to prevent disease transmission and protect patients, staff, and visitors.
You will conduct rounds, monitor healthcare‑associated infections, provide expert guidance on infection control, and ensure CMS and accreditation standards are met. CIC certification should be obtained within 24 months of start.
As our Infection Prevention Specialist at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will help clinical teams and hospital leadership manage surveillance, education, and performance improvement initiatives so they can ensure the safety of patients, personnel, and visitors through the prevention of disease transmission.
Every day you will conduct unit rounds, monitor for healthcare-acquired infections, and provide expert clinical guidance on infection control protocols. You will be expected to oversee department operations, ensure compliance with CMS and accreditation standards, and coordinate staff training programs.
To be successful in this role, you must possess deep expertise in APIC-aligned infection prevention practices, have a proven track record of interpreting regulatory guidelines, and demonstrate the ability to lead and mentor clinical staff.
