Job summary

UMC Health System seeks a Supervisor, Environmental Services Worker to focus on Infection Control and Prevention. You will conduct daily rounds to ensure proper cleaning, sanitation and hand hygiene across the hospital, and you will report to the Manager, Environmental Services.

Responsibilities include training staff, inspecting areas for cleanliness, monitoring infection control standards and leading people and processes to achieve high performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• +3 years environmental service experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• +1 year of demonstrated success leading people and processes.
• Knowledge of cleaning and operating procedures in all areas of environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate training and development of environmental services staff.
• Ensure quality cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas (patient rooms, public, and ancillary areas).
• Perform area inspections to evaluate and monitor quality performance, efficiency, customer satisfaction and infection control standards.
• Assist in controlling and monitoring all chemicals, supplies, and equipment, maintaining current record documentation.
• Evaluate, counsel, train, and provide employee engagement for maximum performance.
• All other assigned duties related to Environmental Services.
