Job summary

Ahwatukee Post Acute (Healthcare) is seeking an Infection Prevention / Director of Staff Development to lead the facility's infection control program and staff education. The role requires coordinating compliance with CDC/OSHA guidelines and directing nursing and support staff in infection prevention practices.

The incumbent will develop policies, run rounds, review laboratory data, and oversee aseptic technique to protect residents and employees.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years experience preferred in a long term care facility.
• Working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate our infection control program in accordance with current regulations.
• Monitor infection control practices and ensure standard/universal precautions are followed.
• Develop and maintain infection control policies, reports, and staff training.
• Participate in committees and coordinate with Nursing, Laundry, and Environmental Services to ensure sanitation.
