Job summary

Temple Hospital is seeking an Infection Preventionist for day shifts. This full-time position at 3401 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, focuses on identifying and mitigating healthcare-associated infections.

You will participate in regulatory activities, educate staff on infection prevention and PPE, and collaborate across departments to control the spread of pathogens. Outbreak investigation support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology, Nursing or related field, or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Public Health is required.
• Licensure or certification related to infection control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate and monitor healthcare-associated infections.
• Participate in regulatory activities to ensure CDC, DOH, NHSN, TJC, OSHA standards compliance.
• Lead educational initiatives on PPE use, disease process and infection prevention.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prevent hospital infections.
• Assist with outbreak investigations as needed.
