Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking an Infection Preventionist to oversee surveillance, analysis and reporting of hospital-acquired infections across the system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical field; RN, MT, or RT must be licensed by Florida DOH or a health sciences/healthcare administration degree.
• CIC certification within three years of hire; renewal every five years.
• Five years of clinical, public health, or related healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of spreadsheet generation, graphics, and word processing applications.

Responsibilities

• Assists with development, implementation and evaluation of the Infection Prevention and Control Program for Orlando Health.
• Performs surveillance to identify cases, risk factors, clusters and outbreaks.
• Compiles information into meaningful data and reports to appropriate parties.
