Job summary

Louisa Health & Rehabilitation Center in Louisa, Virginia, seeks an RN to join our clinical leadership team as Staff Development Coordinator – Infection Preventionist.

The role leads staff education, employee health, and the facility's infection prevention program, reporting to the Director of Nursing and Administrator. The ideal candidate has RN license and infection prevention experience.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in clinical education, staff development, or training.
• Minimum of one year of infection prevention and control experience in relevant care settings preferred.
• Infection Control Practitioner Certification (CIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide required education and training for all facility staff.
• Coordinate new hire orientation with HR.
• Evaluate educational needs and ensure ongoing continuing education.
• Develop and evaluate educational programs to improve clinical skills.
• Provide training related to patient assessment, infection control, IV therapy, and medication administration.
• Collaborate with corporate clinical education resources on policies and training.
