Job summary

Qualifications

• Must meet VA nursing requirements and licensure.
• English proficiency for direct patient care.
• Current active RN license in the United States.
• Experience in infection prevention and control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based infection control practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan immunization efforts.
• Lead data collection and analysis of infection data using epidemiologic principles.
• Ensure compliance with VHA/TJC/OSHA/OIG and state regs.
• Review and revise policies after national standard changes.
• Coordinate with other departments to support infection prevention.
• Design Infection Control program requirements across services.
