Job summary

Palm-City-Nursing- is seeking an RN Infection Prevention Control Officer to oversee and strengthen infection prevention programs across our long-term care and sub-acute nursing facilities. The role centers on safeguarding residents and staff through vigilant infection control practices and coordinated COVID/flu testing support.

You will work with leadership to educate staff on CDC updates, regulatory compliance, and best practices, while ensuring a clean, compliant and safe care environment.

Qualifications

• ASN required for RN practice.
• RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience; LTC/Sub-Acute preferred.
• Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification within 5 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Infection Prevention and Control Program in a long-term care and sub-acute nursing center.
• Identify, investigate, report, prevent, and control the spread of infections; manage COVID/Flu testing schedules; educate staff on CDC updates and proper use of PPD.
• Serve as the center's knowledge source on CDC guidelines, Joint Commission and Occupational Health standards, and related regulations.
