Job summary

Avamere Rehab of Clackamas in Gladstone, OR, is seeking an Infection Preventionist RN for a part-time, 20-hour-per-week Day Shift. The role develops, implements, and monitors infection prevention programs, educates staff, investigates outbreaks to minimize HAIs and keep residents and staff safe.

Requirements include an active RN license, CPR/BLS, BSN preferred, experience in long-term care or sub-acute care, and EMR experience; strong leadership and communication are essential; collaboration

Qualifications

• Must possess nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, active RN license in the state.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Preferred: BSN.
• Experience in long-term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute, or critical care setting.
• Knowledge of CMS/State/Federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention programs.
• Educate staff on infection prevention and control practices.
• Investigate outbreaks and monitor HAIs to minimize risk.
• Coordinate with nursing, medical director, and administration.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards across the facility.
