Job summary

The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking an Infection Prevention RN to lead and coordinate the facility's infection prevention program. This on-site role focuses on surveillance, staff training, and collaboration across disciplines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements include nursing graduation with state licensure and 1+ year in infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and state license required.
• One or more years in Infection Prevention/Control preferred.
• Knowledge of epidemiology and infection control principles required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing surveillance of infections and interpret data with Medical Director.
• Gathers data, maintains records of infections, and reports to authorities as needed.
• Collaborates with disciplines to integrate infection prevention into policies.
• Monitors care activities for infection risk and reinforces prevention practices.
• Provides in-services and training on infection prevention, OSHA, and isolation techniques.
• Reports infectious diseases to local, state, and federal agencies per policy.
• Maintains records for Employee Health and Infection Prevention as needed.
