MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA, seeks a Quality Assurance/Infection Prevention Nurse to coordinate the hospital's Quality Improvement and Infection Prevention programs, guiding regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

The role partners with leadership and staff, uses data to drive change, and supports CQI initiatives across hospital and clinic settings, including New Hampton Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; if not BSN, commitment to complete BSN within five years from start date.
• Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Iowa.
• CBIC certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a consultant to nursing colleagues and health care professionals, providing clinical expertise and recommendations.
• Identifies processes in need of improvement and assists in action plans to evaluate changes.
• Abstracts patient data from medical records and enters into databases to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
• Performs data collection requiring complex decision-making for clinical transformation teams.
• Assists in design and coordination of data collection tools and methods.
