Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Iowa is seeking a Quality Assurance/Infection Prevention Nurse to coordinate the Quality Improvement program for hospital nursing and Infection Prevention across the organization.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, data-driven CQI, and collaboration with leadership. BSN and Iowa RN license are required; CBIC certification is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; commitment to BSN within five years if not already held.
• Currently licensed to practice as an RN in Iowa.
• CBIC certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a consultant to nursing colleagues and other health care professionals.
• Identifies processes in need of improvement and develops action plans.
• Abstracts patient and clinical data for regulatory compliance and quality indicators.
• Performs data collection and supports quality improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrates proficiency with data submission software and databases.
• Assists in designing data collection tools and coordinating data processes.
