Job summary

Whitney Young Health is seeking an Infection Prevention Program Manager (Nurse) to lead infection prevention initiatives across the health system and associated clinics. You will supervise triage nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and report IC surveillance data while supporting EMR and point-of-care testing activities.

The role requires a NYS Nursing License and CIC certification within 1 year, plus 5+ years in healthcare with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Nursing License and CIC certification within 1 year.
• Five or more years’ experience in health care services with supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and cultural competency.

Responsibilities

• Supervises triage nursing staff including scheduling and performance management.
• Provides Clinical Oversight to the Triage Team and administrative support.
• Develops staff and coordinates meetings with Nursing leadership.
• Ensures infection prevention compliance and data reporting across clinics.
• Collaborates on medication management with Clinical Pharmacist as needed.
• Oversees health center infection prevention activities and audits.
