Olympic Medical Center on Washington's Olympic Peninsula is recruiting an Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator. You will enhance patient and staff safety by reducing infection transmission, analyzing trends, and developing control strategies across procedures, equipment, and facilities.

The role requires an associate degree in a healthcare field and at least two years in infection prevention. Bachelor’s preferred; certification options include A-ICP or CHIPP with a 1-year ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a healthcare related field required; comparable training and experience may be considered.
• Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in infection prevention and control or a related field, required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience with DNV accreditation standards, preferred.
• Associate Infection Prevention and Control (A-ICP) certification, preferred.
• DNV Certified Healthcare Infection Prevention Professional (CHIPP) certification required within one year of hire.
• Basic infection prevention coursework required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Improves patient and staff safety by reducing infection transmission.
