Job summary

Manokin Nursing & Rehab in Maryland is seeking an Infection Control Nurse to serve as the facility’s resource for infection prevention, quality systems, and staff development. This role ensures compliance with clinical best practices, regulatory standards, and safe business operations.

You will coordinate infection prevention activities, conduct monthly rounds, support ongoing education, and drive quality improvement initiatives across departments.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license.
• Prior infection prevention, staff education, or quality improvement preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and document the orientation plan for all nursing staff and contractors.
• Coordinate and conduct trainings aligned with federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Assess training needs and develop, implement, evaluate, and document staff development programs.
• Provide ongoing training on quality management and improvement initiatives.
• Initiate and monitor performance improvement plans.
• Coordinate monthly infection control rounds and outbreak investigations.
• Prepare and present reports to the QA and PI Committee.
• Review and update infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
